Finding a product that effectively preps the skin for make-up while providing anti-ageing benefits can be difficult. Once again Dermalogica has the answer, introducing The Skin Perfect Primer SPF30. This primer is a 3-in-1 treatment that acts as a primer, sunscreen, and anti-ageing treatment all in one! Whats not to love? 

The Skin Perfect Primer is designed to smooth the skin's surface, provide a "soft focus" effect, and shield the skin from damaging UV rays.

I love this primer it features a velvety, silicone based formula that glides over the skin like silk to fill in fine lines and large pores giving a blurred effect. 

It contains natural earth minerals that provide a neutral tint, a slight colour that helps to even out skin tone and boost luminosity without the heavy feel of a foundation. The tint blends into most skin tones.

Dermalogica Skin Perfect Primer SPF30 is part of Dermalogica’s great AGE Smart® range, meaning it is specifically formulated to target the biochemical triggers that lead to skin ageing so also works as a treatment on the skin too.

This primer has a *broad spectrum it aims to protect against the primary causes that lead to skin ageing while protecting your skin from the damaging UV rays.

*Broad spectrum - means that the sunscreen shields the skin from both UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays are proven to cause premature and accelerated ageing and deeper damage, while UVB is proven to burn the skin and cause cell damage. Both UVA and UVB can cause skin cancer.

Pro Tip: To protect your skin from cell damage, sun burn, ageing and skin cancer it is very important your SPF is Broad Spectrum, has the correct 'use by' date and is applied correctly. This date is normally found at the end of the tube.

The product is most commonly found in a travel-friendly size:

• 22ml: The standard full-size tube, which often includes a handy tube dispenser (a plastic key) to ensure you can squeeze out every last drop of product.

Pro Tip: You use this plastic key to slide down the tube and this makes sure you have every bit of the product out also I recommend that you always cut open the plastic at the end to use every drop. 

How to use it

• Preparation: Always start with a clean, moisturised face.
• Application: Smooth and blend a small amount over the entire face and neck.
• Technique: You can use your fingertips for a natural finish or a cosmetic sponge for a more airbrushed look.
• Customisation: It can be worn alone for a "no-make-up" look or used as a base to extend the wear of your foundation.
