I was on the quest to find a product that would really help with my hormonal hair loss. I have been experiencing hair fall for over 5 months and although I do naturally have thick and a very full head of hair and my hair loss wasn't noticeable to other people at this stage, it was still very worrying and emotionally stressful.
Each time I was washing, brushing or even just touching my hair many strands of hair were falling out, full lengths with roots on the ends. When I visited my hairdresser we were noticing that it was not growing longer either. Who Is Champo?
I was very wrong in thinking this brand from my first glimpse was Italian! The brand's name Champo is actually pronounced 'Shar-Pour' which is a 7th century Indian word that describes the ancient Indian practice of cleansing, soothing and massaging the head and scalp. The brand is not Italy or Indian but is a British haircare brand with their products crafted and produced in the UK. Champo is totally inspired by ancient Ayurvedic principles, re-imagined for contemporary 21st century needs.
Champo is known for its considerate, eco-friendly formulations and favours naturally derived, vegan, and cruelty-free ingredients, and is celebrated for creating products suitable for a broad range of hair types, including those experiencing hair loss or scalp sensitivity which is what sparked my interest into Champo products.

Champo has three different hair ranges which represent the three Ayurvedic - (the science or knowledge of life) Dosha - (bodily energies or principles). Each range includes Shampoo and conditioner and in the Pitta range they also offer. hair growth vitamin gummies and hair growth serum.

What Is Champo Hair Serum?
The Pitta Growth Hair Serum is an advanced trichologically developed scalp treatment that aims to stimulate hair growth, strengthen existing strands, and address thinning.
This hair serum is part of the Pitta range and is for fine hair, experiencing thinning or hair loss. Champo claim that 90% of users from an independent trial had less hair loss while using this serum once daily for 12 weeks in 2022.

I love to use my Pitta Growth Hair Serum in the evening, section by section and then by the morning all the serum has been absorbed into my scalp and hair leaving no residue so no need to wash my hair more often then I already do.
Also the Pitta Growth Hair Serum has a wonderful smell, it must be the essential oils in it that work together and give it a really nice soft rose flower fragrance, it is really pleasant.
Does Champo Hair Serum Really Work?

Hair Growth Stages
Anagen(Growth Phase) - This is the very active stage of hair growth. Hair cells divide rapidly forming new hairs. These hairs then push up and out of the hair's follicle. This stage can last years allowing hair to grow quite long like the hairs found on our scalp.
Catagen (Transitional Phase) - This is a short transitional phase. During this phase the hair follicle shrinks and the hair strand is cut off from its blood supple leaving the hair to age.
Telogen (Resting Phase) - This phase is when the hair remains sitting in it follicle but is not growing, it is in a resting period. After this phase the hair will then die and fall out and then the Anagen phase starts again for that individual hair.
How To Use The Champo Pitta Growth Hair Serum
What You Need
You will need a sectioning comb and hair clips to help clip your hair into section to apply the serum directly and easily to your scalp making sure to apply evenly and everywhere.
How To Apply
For best results, section either dry or damp hair and apply 3–4 drops directly across the scalp, massaging in with your fingertips.
For those targeting specific thinning areas, 1–2 drops can be used per section.
Massage is crucial to boost circulation and optimise absorption. The serum can be used at any time, but post wash application is recommended for optimal scalp delivery.

My Conclusion
Champo Pitta Growth Hair Serum stands out for its ethos and thoughtful blend of Ayurvedic wisdom and evidence-based actives, eco-conscious values, and suitability for modern British routines.
While it may not deliver instant miracles, I believe all hair growth products do take time to show results due to the nature of hair growth cycles. Consistency is the key for improving hair growth and helping with hair fall/loss. But like me, most users find it gradually improves hair health, density, and scalp condition, particularly with persistent daily application for around 12 weeks.
After 12 weeks use of using the Pitta Hair Growth Serum every evening I have noticed my hair fall/loss has significantly slow down and reduced. After the real fear of losing all my hair through hair loss I finally found Champo products that really work and I really enjoy using them which is just as important.
